Or maybe you like to rev it up loud before the engine is warm. That would eventually bend a valve.Check your intake manifold for cracks.If you see any,while its running,spray some WD40 on the manifold,and see if the engine speeds up.If it does you have a vacume leak,and it needs to be replaced.Before you do that,make sure the clamps are real tight,as it sounds like you have a leak.
