Sep 15, 2021 · Is AT&T Extended Wi-Fi Coverage a good option. I have a medium sized house but the setup is such that the gateway needs to be at one end, so the signal does not cover the whole area. I've ordered AT&T Extended Wi-Fi Coverage with 3 AirTies 4971's. AT&T's web site has almost no information, but I did see that this extender provides mesh networking. Only now l have numerous daily internet disconnects on my 4791 extenders. The extenders have solid white light, my devices receiving strong WiFi signal but my devices can’t connect to the internet. Several times a day l have to reboot the gateway to get my devices connecting to the internet! 5 calls to Technical Service in 10 days no relief.

Don't set it up as a DHCP server and just let your router provision IP addresses. Give it the same SSID name as your main router. You want the ATT one or it will not work the same.
