You'll still be able to fight Alexandar, but I don't think you can fight the other magisters with him. I usually solve this issue (if I'm playing single player, otherwise with multiplayer I'll just have someone else ready to teleport Alexandar after dialogue) by killing Alexandar first, then going to Sallow, since the latter never leaves. edit ...Simply kill him again and he will die permanently. If you side with Alexander, you have to kill Gareth. Since everyone there will join the fight, killing him will be just a formality.
