If you're looking to fly general aviation aircraft or airliners and you are on PC I can recommend the Honeycomb lineup. I use the yoke and throttle and I like ... Zoom is really, really important and needs to be on your HOTAS. Trim is also really important and needs to be on the HOTAS, at least for elevator. Hosas (plus pedals) mechanically gives the most amount of control on all axis. It is good in this respect for manoeuvre and considered strong for combat, racing and low flying. Hotas has nearly as much control and the same amount of axis. It is considered more immersive, potentially more comfortable for larger ships.
