Asrock RX 7800 XT Steel Legend mini-review. Today I finally got my 7800 XT Steel Legend after nearly two weeks of waiting and since I've seen practically nothing about this specific model online, I decided to share some first impressions. My previous GPU was the Gigabyte RX 5700 XT OC, so I'm mostly comparing my experience to that. On my Asus board, it's found in the following area. Should be similar on other boards. Advanced > AMD CBS > NBIO Common Options > XFR Enhancement > Precision Boost Overdrive, set it to manual. Worked on my Asus B550-I, seen it work on other Asus boards and Gigabyte boards. Maybe works on ASRock.But modern Asrock sells boards in all performance categories and can be trusted as much as the other major brands (Asus, Gigabyte, MSI). My last 3 Mobos have been Asrock and 0 issues. Asrock has seemed to have exceptionally good AMD/Ryzen offerings TBH. Motherboards as a whole vary a lot on a board by board basis, and less so by manufacturer. ASRock also makes high end motherboards (see their fatal1ty line) and their cheaper boards are often better than similarly priced boards from Asus or MSI.
