The larger U-Hauls do have surge brakes, so that may help with braking. I towed the 4x8 approx 500 miles (empty one way, full back), through some rolling hills.The 5x8 trailer is just $180, plus installing the hitch/tranny cooler/electric brakes, and then gas money probably lands me total near $500-600 so is really the only option I have. ...
