It's not unusual for it to take 5 or 10 minutes after a missed call for the voicemail (and the notification) to show up. I've lived with it because usually it's not a major issue for me. Yesterday I missed a call around 4:00 in the afternoon. No voicemail.Voicemails are recorded, but only to the system you access by holding the number 1 key. Whenever this happens the outbound message (set in iPhone's Phone app) vanishes as well. It's frustrating.
