Luckily level 2 thaumaturge feats are not too exciting. As for combat the goal is to be mid/backline with a hand crossbow meaning the level 1 feat to reload is a must. As to how it feels to play, so far not bad. It is really fun making up whatever esoteric weakness fits.Thaumaturge with 16 str hits for 2d8+11, or 20 average. Baseline barbarian with 18 str hits for 2d12+6, or 19 average. But the barbarian has +1 more to hit (until next level) and most instincts gives more rage damage than the base.
