Air Force ROTC cadets must complete all of their bachelor’s degree and commissioning requirements within four years. The time spent in school does not count toward total time in service. Upon graduation and completion of the program, SOAR cadets are commissioned as second lieutenants and return to active duty for four years of service. Air Force ROTC Requirements.
