Jan 18, 2022 · Kalashnikov USA is moving their 5.45 model in tandem with their 5.56 model, and intend to release both at the same time. The bad news is that when Kalashnikov USA says “before the end of the year”, they mean it. The KR-101 and 74M won’t be coming out in the next few weeks. The time frame is looking closer to late 2022. Palmetto State Armory has forged ahead with the AK-101 AKM. The AK-101 AKM is loaded with features such as a gas nitrided barrel, toolcraft hammer-forged front trunnion, bolt, and carrier, 45 Degree Gas Block, AKM Style Front Sight Base, and 1/2x28 threads for all of your suppressor mounting capabilities. The AK-101 was designed as a replacement for the AK-74M assault rifle and has been modified to meet the needs of today's military forces. The AK-101 was designed in Russia and is the main service rifle of the Russian military.

About 190 Tula steel case, the rest was brass. At first, it was experiencing FTF every 4 rounds or so. This ironed out after ~100 rounds or so.
