Miralax and heartburn. Posted by md123 @md123, Apr 4, 2023. I suffer from a redundant colon. I am a 60 y/o female and have started taking Mira Lax daily since September 22. Since I started doing this I am having BM's every morning but I know how severe heartburn. I had intermittent heartburn for years but nothing that required attention.I take a daily dose of Miralax and one dose of Citrucel fiber. My GI Dr said I could even mix them together. She recommended Citrucel over Metamucil because it's less likely to produce excess gas.
