The Max shoots a lot softer than the II. As far as recoil, I typically shoot a snub nose 357 so it's hard to judge. It's probably about the same snappiness as the P365.. you've got a less powerful round, but less weight. The LCP Max holds a 10+1 or 12+1 round capacity with an extended magazine, whereas the LCP 2 holds a 6+1 round capacity.
